Mr. Casais is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, before the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle District of Florida, and before the United States Tax Court.
In 2008, Mr. Casais together with Nadja Prias, established The Law Office of Casais & Prias, PLLC. Together, Mr. Casais & Ms. Prias have focused their practice of law to immigration, family law, and automobile accident cases.
Mr. Casais was previously an Associate Attorney at an immigration firm in Miami, Florida where he was responsible for preparing and submitting both family based and employment based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions. He also specialized in preparing alien labor certifications filing under the PERM guidelines, applications for citizenship/naturalization, and providing defense to individuals in deportation proceedings.
Mr. Casais also worked as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service. As a Revenue Agent Mr. Casais audited and examined individual and corporate tax returns to determine correct federal tax liabilities and ensure compliance with the technical requirements of federal tax laws.
In addition, Mr. Casais was an intern at the Economic Crimes Unit of the Florida State Attorney's Office, 11th Judicial Circuit, in Miami Florida. In this position Mr. Casais assisted in the investigation and preparation of criminal cases including organized fraud, theft crimes, bank fraud, credit card fraud, and identity theft.
Mr. Casais is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Furthermore, he is the recipient of an "Outstanding Volunteer" award for his participation in the "Put Something Back" pro-bono project.
Moreover, in 2007 Mr. Casais was part of the legal team who filed suit in the Southern District of Florida against the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security to force decisions on residency applications that had been unreasonably delayed for an indefinite period of time. The District Court held that "no agency responsible for resolving matters of public interest should be free to let those matters pend in perpetuity." The Court remanded the case back to USCIS for adjudication. Jones v. Gonzales, June 21, 2007.
Rolando Casais, Jr. is the firm's Managing Partner. Mr. Casais was born and raised in Miami, Florida and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Mr. Casais earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Miami Dade Community College in 1998, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Barry University in 2001, and a Juris Doctor Degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2004.

In 2002, Ms. Prias earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Florida International University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Miami, Florida where she was a member of the Panhellenic Council.
